Tomorrow we'll be administering our first official student response system clicker test for quarter 1. Units they'll be tested on: Footbal, Soccer and Fitness Tests. I'm excited to see how it all works and how the students respond to it. (no pun intended) :) I informed them that the test would not be paper/pencil but that we wanted to use technology. Many kids were so excited about that little piece. I'll let you all know how it goes.
Good luck! I am excited to hear how it goes for you!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe clicker test went well, except I forgot about 4 students in my participant list! I was scrambling on the spot to figure out a solution. The classroom teacher actually has her own set, so I thought we could use those, but then I realized I didn't have her participant list and she didn't have mine. I eventually remembered how to add participants and things ended up working out in the end. The clickers have been so nice to use. I love that we're not spending our own time correcting tests, but rather looking at the report to see who understands concepts and content. We've also been able to use the student response system to provide the kids with instant feedback. After all reponses are in for a specific question, the correct answer is then revealed. What a great way to learn!
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see the initial work you put in to utilizing the student response system has paid off and it is providing you with useful assessment. I have my own goal to try to implement them in my classroom by third quarter this year.
